1. What Inspired you to join this Industry?
The most important interesting thing i have learn about life is that as much as it is easier when you plan it, it never goes as you expect. Drawing close to the end of high school, i started to slowly fall in love with Fashion. First, it was clothes that people wore, then the good pictures they took, then the love they received and then everything. Then i guess one day i woke up and i knew this is the life i wanted to live . I decided to start and never look back.
2. How can you describe your journey so far?
This is definitely the most interesting that i have done i my life. Fashion has opened doors for me that i thought was never possible. For example, last month i had the chance to be part of a panel with fellow Kenyans big wigs like Connie Aluoch, Anyango Mpinga, Diana Opoti, Biko Orlale and Beata Otieno to discuss fashion issues in the country.
3.What is your take on the Kenyan Fashion industry?I am going to look at this from two points of view. Kenyans are appreciating the work of local designers today than in the past which is a positive fete. On the other hand, i don't think brands are yet to discover the power of influences in marketing. But i think we are doing well.
4. What is your take on the widely held perception that Fashion is a gender specific, dominated by Ladies?
Long time ago, style was mainly associated with men because it showed nobility and power. I don't know what changed . Its true ladies are more passionate in that area but men can also strive in that area too.
5. Do you take or plan to take on Fashion as a serious career?
I definitely plan on making Fashion my full time career, so yes.
6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
As i said before, i hope to transform fashion into a full time career where i can wake up every morning , do what i love and still pay my bills.
7. Briefly describe your Style?
Being a young guy,my style varies as i learn more about myself and what i would like to portray as a brand. But semi-casual for the most part.
8. Who do you look up to in this industry?
So many people. In Kenya i love The Dapper brother's style and Fred Anyona's hard work and consistency.
